Transition (part two)

The transition that is found in Matthew 11 teaches us practical things in terms of what can happen during times of transition.  Matthew 11 begins with John in prison.  He never left the prison alive.  Matthew 11:13 For all the prophets and the law prophesied until John.  All the prophets before John told of the Messiah to come.  John spoke of the Messiah as here.  The prophets of old told of the Christ in dark shadowy types and figures.  John told of Him directly and guiding people to the person of Christ.

When a spiritual transition occurs, it will be accompanied by great persecution from the world and the religious spirit.  This persecution brought John to prison.  The connection between John and Elijah can be seen as John questioned in the prison, while Elijah questioned under the juniper tree. John questioned the true identity of the Lord by asking, are you the one or should we look for another?  Elijah said he was the only one left and by this was implying the Lord had abandoned him.

I’m beginning to wonder how many in the Church are asking and saying some of the same things during this time of transition.  We look at a government that is actively pursuing Godless legislation.  Not just on a federal level but even in our local governments.  The city of Statesville, North Carolina has stopped prayer before their council meetings.  A permit needs to be given before you can gather on the city streets for prayer.  Alexander county has had discussions on the teaching of critical race theory to our children in schools.  Governments everywhere are legislating immorality while schools teach immorality as an acceptable lifestyle.  Many churches remain asleep unwilling to answer the call to this warfare.  Many are questioning the Lord during this time.

I’m interested in the way the Lord answered John.  Jesus said in Matthew 11:4 Jesus answered and said unto them, Go and shew John again those things which ye do hear and see: The blind receive their sight, and the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, and the poor have the gospel preached to them.  This is what the Lord wants us to declare during this time of transition.  Jesus is still the one that heals, raises the dead, saves the lost, and gives us the power of the gospel of Jesus Christ to preach.  The noise that we hear from the media, and from the halls of Congress, and from the rooms of demonic institutions we call schools should never be as loud as the voice of the prophets of this day declaring the wonderful works of Christ.

Many of today’s prophets are trapped in prisons of doubt afraid to declare the works of Christ. Many are waiting on God to prove He is willing to move on His people during this time before they declare His great power.  Some during this time will have a Paul and Silas experience and the prison doors will break open and they will come out and preach the healing power of deliverance through Christ our Lord.  During this transition, prophets will arise who no longer fear the government of this world or the religious authority of the institution of the religious spirit and will proclaim liberty to the captive with the anointing of the Holy Spirit.  Even in the least in the kingdom will experience a greater glory than what has ever been seen before.  The coming of our Lord is at hand.  May the Lord Jesus hear the cries of repentance and give us the courage to come out of the prison cells of apathy and doubt and declare the message again with authority and the anointing of faith.
