Over the last week I have been feeling very strongly that we as the church must prepare for the year of 2024. Big things are to come that make 2020 and Covid look simple and pale. I feel that the Lord is telling us to not be afraid. That what is coming must happen according to God's seasons. But we as the church must prepare to be the hospital for the spiritualy sick (Matt 9:12) and find our boldness found through our adoption into the Kingdom of God. Be prepared church!
Mark 13:7-11 is my focal passage from this word.
“When you hear of wars and rumors of wars, do not be troubled. For such things must happen, but the end is still to come. For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be earthquakes in various places, and there will be famines and troubles. These are the beginning of sorrows. “But take heed. For they will hand you over to councils, and in the synagogues you will be beaten. You will be brought before rulers and kings for My sake, as a testimony to them. And the gospel must first be preached to all nations. But when they arrest you and hand you over, take no thought beforehand, or premeditate what you should speak. But speak whatever is given you in that time, for it is not you who speaks, but the Holy Spirit.”
