An excerpt from "What IS Behind the Curtain? Living the Resurrected Life."
”O Lord, thou hast searched me, and known me. Thou knowest my downsitting and mine uprising, thou understandest my thought afar off. Thou compassest my path and my lying down, and art
acquainted with all my ways. For there is not a word in ...my tongue, but, lo, O LORD, thou knowest it altogether. Thou hast beset me behind and before, and laid thine hand upon me. Such knowledge is
too wonderful for me; it is high, I cannot attain unto it”. Psalm 139:1-6
What kind of God is so intimately acquainted with us that he leads us in the right direction even while we are yet unaware of circumstances arising in our midst?
It is beyond my comprehension to understand God’s great love and even a small revelation of it brings a sense of awe and reverence that the God of all creation meets us where we are to bless us on our journey. Furthermore, I find an even greater astonishment that my responses are not always in accordance with my heart values so I find myself grieving and repenting for doing “those things that I do
not want to do.”
We cannot escape from him because everywhere we go he is already there; he created all things and planned for our arrival. He is there delighting in us and enjoys being with us so much that he
rushes ahead to greet us and navigate us through each situation if we allow him to. He even saw us before we were born and had a plan previously set in motion for our good. Further expounding on this
fact is:
“For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother's womb. I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right
well. My substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth.” Psalm 139:13-15
He set our DNA in motion and stands back watching the beauty of his creation while it is forming.
