SIGNS AND UNDERSTANDING THE VISION
Word from John and Camrin Harris
7/13/14
Last week the Lord began to say to me, “Signs, signs, everywhere are signs, CAN YOU SEE THE SIGNS.” God is asking the Church, His body; can we rightly discern the signs of the times and understand them? In Daniel 9, the prophet Daniel describes a time when he was repenting and interceding for Israel (I encourage you to read and pray through the chapter). I want to share a portion of that chapter.
Daniel 9:20-23 (NLT) says, “I went on praying and confessing my sin and the sin of my people, pleading with the Lord my God for Jerusalem, his holy mountain. As I was praying, Gabriel, whom I had seen in the earlier vision, came swiftly to me at the time of the evening sacrifice. He explained to me, “Daniel, I have come here to give you insight and understanding. The moment you began praying, a command was given. And now I am here to tell you what it was, for you are very precious to God. Listen carefully so that you can understand the meaning of your vision.”
You’ll notice, Daniel was praying and confessing his sin and the sin of his nation, when Gabriel appeared and gave him insight and understanding. This is what we need right now. I’m praying the following, will you pray it too?
Prayer: “Lord I’m praying for an impartation for the body of Christ, that You give us the spirit of your understanding and the gift of discernment. So that we can see and understand where we are at in Scripture and rightly discern where we are as the church and as a nation. Lord give your disciples understanding of your parables. Lord we need this impartation and we are asking for it.”
For over a week I have wrestled with whether to release this next part (in my humanity I prefer to only give positive words), but as a prophet, the Lord has spoken to me three times, “Cry loud and spare not watchman, the warning must go out.” I humbly submit this.
If you are truly hearing from God you will find that He is asking us for more. More of our time in prayer, in worship and in the Word. In order for the church, the bride to come forth without spot or blemish, we must be wholly His, seeking Him in intimacy, seeking His face and His ways in everything. He’s not only asking the church to have Him as Savior, He’s asking to be Lord of our lives in every aspect. The path to that, is to find ourselves like Daniel humbled on our knees before Him repenting for our sins and the sins of our nation. One of those sins relates to Israel. Gen. 12:3a (NKJV) refers to a promise given to Abraham and his descendents (Israel), “I will bless those who bless you, and I will curse him who curses you.” We are dangerously close to more major disasters in the US as some of the church and our government turns it’s back on Israel. Can we discern the times? We must pray for the peace of Jerusalem. We must support Israel in every way that we can. I had a vision, I saw two major earthquakes hitting the US, both as a result of our government turning its back on Israel. We must pray and repent for the sins of the USA. We must stand in the gap and ask the Lord for mercy, grace, and life. As a nation we have been given much, probably more than any other nation in history. Luke 12:48b (NLT) says, “When someone has been given much, much will be required in return; and when someone has been entrusted with much, even more will be required.” This is why we must pray.
I have also seen this country go into great revival, but in this vision we were also in a place of humility on our knees before the Lord. As we were kneeling in prayer the Lord elevated the church to a high place, a place above and not beneath. There were coliseums full of people being saved, healed and delivered. It was a place where the Lord is high and lifted up. I could hear the testimony of the people, as they were touched by the Holy Spirit.
Joel 2:28-32 speaks of God pouring out His Spirit on all flesh working mightily through His people. Simultaneously, it talks of signs in the earth and the sky.
I don’t know about you, but I don’t want to be like the people Jesus referred to in Luke 12:54-56. Basically, Jesus rebukes them in verse 56 (NKJV), it says, “Hypocrites! You can discern the face of the sky and of the earth, but how is it you do not discern this time?”
Please join us in humbling ourselves and praying for our nation to repent and turn from our wicked ways. If we do God promises us in 2 Chronicles 7:14 that “He will forgive us and heal our land.” Don’t let human pride deceive you, we must repent.
If this has touched your heart please forward it on.
