Because we "Enter His gates with thanksgiving" and I want to enter the presence of the Lord first thing each day, I try to make my first thoughts each day about something I am thankful for, and I thank Him for it. Today it is the extraordinary leadership the Lord has given our country.

Good leaders are the first blessing the Lord gives to the nations that are faithful to Him. Immature, capricious leaders are a judgement from God for nations that have departed from Him according to Isaiah chapter 1-5. Trump is one of the most extraordinary leaders I have ever met and spent any time with. He is not just one of the greatest leaders in the world at this time, but he is the kind of transformative leader that you will only find in history a few times, usually once every few centuries. He is here to bring radical change, and that he is a leader in our country reveals the exceptional favor of the Lord for our country.

We were just subjected to some of the most immature, capricious leaders in our history. That reflects that we were under the Lord's judgement, or discipline. Obviously there was enough repentance for the Lord to respond with giving us, not just a good leader, but one of the most transformative leaders we've had since the Founders, and he, Trump, is putting together a team that are all exceptional leaders. That we have this many with this stature, coming together at this time, is a major sign.

What is the Lord up to? I assure you it's a lot. We do not want to fumble this extraordinary opportunity. We need to pray more for them now than we did for the election. We also need to keep humbling ourselves, and be quick to repent whenever He brings conviction upon us--because "He resists the proud, and gives His grace to the humble."

The Lord is obviously about to use the United States for something extraordinary. We must not become arrogant, but resolve to always remember it is not because we are so smart, or righteous, or great in other ways, but because we humbled ourselves in a way that moved Him to give us favor.
