10.4.2021 – Our Great Treasure
“The Lord is your keeper;
The Lord is your shade at
your right hand.”—Psalm 121:5
“Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil;
For You are with me;
Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies;
You anoint my head with oil;
My cup runs over.”—Psalm 23:4-5
“If I take the wings of the morning,
And dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea,
Even there Your hand shall lead me,
And Your right hand shall hold me.
If I say, “Surely the darkness shall fall on me,”
Even the night shall be light about me;”—Psalm 139:9-11
“In the day when I cried out,
You answered me,
And made me bold with
strength in my soul.”—Psalm 138:4
“Though I walk in the midst of trouble, You will revive me;
You will stretch out Your hand
Against the wrath of my enemies,
And Your right hand will save me.
The Lord will perfect that which concerns me;
Your mercy, O Lord, endures forever;
Do not forsake the works of Your hands.”—Psalm 138:7-8
“You have hedged me behind and before,
And laid Your hand upon me.
Such knowledge is too wonderful for me;
It is high, I cannot attain it.”—Psalm 139:5-6
Lord God, I am learning to see…
how You make good use
of the “hard times”
to shape,
and to strengthen,
and to BUILD
in me.
How You transform my life,
as I come to know, and experience You
within all of the things
that I go through.
And now I can rejoice and say,
“I know Him…
for HE is the One
who was with me
through thick and through thin.
And now I know…
it is within in these times
that I learn
to truly trust in Him.
I
know…
that He is with me till the end!”
“I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances. I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. I can do everything through him who gives me strength.” —Philippians 4:11-13
And so,
as I am standing where I am...
I will remember Your friendship, Lord Jesus,
time and time again…
For You were there to lead me…
when I was blind, and could not see…
when I had no other friend alongside me.
But with Your faithful hand…
You reached out to me
You came, You claimed me, You saved me,
You set me on Your path of life…
You delivered me,
…and You set me free.
“I will lift up my eyes to the hills—
From whence comes my help?
My help comes from the Lord,
Who made heaven and earth.”—Psalm 121:1-2
Thank You, Jesus,
for teaching me on this journey…
of what it means
to live this life…
—in a blossoming friendship with You.
Lord Jesus, You are—
Our Great Treasure! 💖✨
