Kingdom Potential

Everything we could ever need for life and godliness has already been deposited in us by his divine power. For all this was lavished upon us through the rich experience of knowing him who has called us by name and invited us to come to him through a glorious manifestation of his goodness. As a result of this, he has given you magnificent promises that are beyond all price, so that through the power of these tremendous promises we can experience partnership with the divine nature, by which you have escaped the corrupt desires that are of the world. So devote yourselves to lavishly supplementing your faith with goodness, and to goodness add understanding, and to understanding add the strength of self-control, and to self-control add patient endurance, and to patient endurance add godliness, and to godliness add mercy toward your brothers and sisters, and to mercy toward others add unending love. Since these virtues are already planted deep within, and you possess them in abundant supply, they will keep you from being inactive or fruitless in your pursuit of knowing Jesus Christ more intimately. 2 Peter 1:3-8 TPT

Here lays our true and incredible potential!

Potential: existing in possibility: capable of development into actuality
Too many of us are intimidated by potential. Why? Could it be that potential has not been nurtured into the core of who/whose we are? Frankly, I have taken the potential course a number of times and dropped out just before the semester ended.
It’s not that we don’t have the potential for fully realizing our potential. It’s more that we get distracted by and listen to the unrelenting voices of fear. Fear diminishes and dilutes our ‘potential acumen’ (insight, sharpness, wisdom). We need to listen to the voices of wisdom in order to come out of the fog and clearly envision potential.
God is always calling us into his potential. When life is lived in the wise insight of his perspective, we touch his potential. We also see with fresh sharpness the potential of those he places in our path each day. From Papa’s vantage point we can exist in possibility and are capable of developing into actuality. In other words, we actually become his potential!!
“What a God we have! And how fortunate we are to have him, this Father of our Master Jesus! Because Jesus was raised from the dead, we’ve been given a brand- new life (of potential) and have everything to live for, including a future in heaven—and the future starts now! God is keeping careful watch over us and the future. The day is coming when you’ll have it all—life healed and whole.” 2 Peter 1:3-5, The Message, parenthesis added.

Listen only to the wise voice of potential!
