Feasting on the Fruit of the Cross

The Fruit of Feasting on the Cross.

Wholeness: spirit, soul & body.

(1Th 5:23)  And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Maturity of identity: son of the Father, bride of Christ, spiritual offspring of the Eagle.

Fruit of Function: Order of Melchisedec.

 Heb 6:19 Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast, and which entereth into that within the veil;

:20 Whither the forerunner is for us entered, even Jesus, made an high priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.

  1. Ministering to God at the Table Eze 44:15 But the priests the Levites, the sons of Zadok, that kept the charge of my sanctuary when the children of Israel went astray from me, they shall come near to me to minister unto me, and they shall stand before me to offer unto me the fat and the blood, saith the Lord GOD:

  1. Ministering with God from the Table. Gen 14:18  And Melchizedek king of Salem brought forth bread and wine: and he was the priest of the most high God.:19  And he blessed him, and said, Blessed be Abram of the most high God, possessor of heaven and earth:

Wholeness: spirit, soul & body.

(1Th 5:23)  And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

As stated earlier, each and every aspect of the Atonement, through the exchange wrought there by Jesus Christ on our behalf, fully belongs to the newborn Christian. It is our birthright. Salvation applies to the entirety of the triune nature of man {spirit, soul, and body},  as well as all other arenas of life.

The spirit of man is that deep core of the triune man or woman, that has the God-ordained capacity to connect and communicate with God. Sinful man is cutoff from fellowship with Him and is characterized in Scripture as being“dead in their trespasses and sins”. (Eph 2:1)  The spirit of man must be born-again. The born-again spirit is destined to be the king of the triune man or woman of God, under the Lordship of Jesus Christ the King.

The soul of the triune man consists of the mind or reasoning capacities, the will, and the emotions. The soul is to be the servant; submitted to the born-again spirit of the man or woman of God.

The body or flesh of man is to be the mobile temple or house of the triune man in and through which he expresses himself, and establishes things in the Earth. The flesh is to be the slave of the spirit and soul of the born-again  man or woman of God that is submitted to the Lordship of Jesus Christ.

When a person is born-again, it is their spirit-man (1Pe 3:4) that is instantly made new. It is completely perfect as to nature, and yet it is born-anew as a spiritual infant. Even as in the natural, the healthiest environment for a spiritual infant is to be raised in a loving home {church}.

There are relatively few that currently have the privilege to be nurtured in such a place; a church with wise and caring spiritual fathers and mothers who are providing a healthy mix of nutritious and delicious meals, schooling, rest, play, and work. All, under the Headship of Jesus Christ. Dear reader; trust me, that is coming. But, in the meantime…God is still Faithful and True! He has abundantly, gloriously provided for us the Body and Blood of His only begotten Son: the Lamb Who was slain and forever reigns as the Lord Jesus Christ.

There is the milk of the Word for us. There is the fresh Bread of Life; there is meat for the spiritually hungry; there is strong meat for the spiritually  mature; there is hidden manna for those who will press in and search it out! There are Living Waters and the New Wine of His Love for the thirsty!

Isa 55:1 Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money; come ye, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price.

:2 Wherefore do ye spend money for that which is not bread? and your labour for that which satisfieth not? hearken diligently unto me, and eat ye that which is good, and let your soul delight itself in fatness.

:3 Incline your ear, and come unto me: hear, and your soul shall live; and I will make an everlasting covenant with you, even the sure mercies of David.

Maturity of identity: maturing son of the Father, with a bridal heart for the King, and arising spiritual eagle.

As those who have been born again through the Cross of Christ we have a three-fold identity source. We are born of the Holy Trinity: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. We have become new creations in Christ through partaking of the sacrifice of Jesus Christ upon the cross. The finished work of the cross of Jesus Christ is not only the source of our new life; it is that which sustains us, completes us, and equips us for the fulfillment of our destiny! The holy fruit of His sacrifice provided for us upon the table of the Lord is the provision for our ongoing growth in Him, unto fullness of maturity in time.

We have been given the Body and Blood of our Lord and Savior to feast upon during our journey of maturity as we follow Him in the earth.

Joh 6:35 Jesus replied, I am the Bread of Life. He who comes to Me will never be hungry, and he who believes in and cleaves to and trusts in and relies on Me will never thirst any more (at any time).

6:51 I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.

6:53 Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you.

:54 Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day.

:55 For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed.

:56 He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him.

:57 As the living Father hath sent me, and I live by the Father: so he that eateth me, even he shall live by me.
