Do it again. Well, Jesus did it again. Did what, you ask? The simplest definition of the word "testimony" is" do it again". The other side of this word "testimony" is that we have the high honor of providing indisputable personal testament and first hand evidence of our experience with Jesus.
Well here goes! Friday afternoon while visiting my mother in the Nursing Home I began to have difficulty getting my words out and slurring my speech. My brother and I returned home to pick Janis up to go eat together. Janis and my brother began to notice my symptoms and expressed that I might need to go to the emergency room.
I have a history of these symptoms with the residual effects of previous mini strokes. I protested and wanted to wait for this to pass. Well, they didn't pass. They got worse. I started to not being able walk well and was shaking all over. Still I wanted to wait. It kept getting worse and not passing. I finally agreed and they drove me to the emergency room. We barely got two miles and went to the Alexander EMT. The E.M.T.s rushed me to Iredell Hospital with a Stroke Code.
The emergency room doctors advised me to get to the Stroke Center at Baptist Hospital in Winston-Salem. They flew me to Winston by emergency helicopter. The Neurosurgeon on call admitted me with the Stroke Code. The next morning, they performed a Brain Angiogram on me. Which is done by putting a probe into my groin artery and doing a procedure to determine the condition of the 4 major arteries that supply blood flow to the brain.
I had already been diagnosed with chronic microvascular disease. Which means that a great deal of the smaller blood vessels in my brain are hardened and bleeding. The angiogram revealed that one of the 4 arteries was completely blocked and had been for a while. The miracle began to be revealed. The artery had grown another blood vessel to provide sufficient blood flow for that part of my brain. A second main artery was 20 percent blocked and the medications I was already on would allow that artery to be sufficient in blood flow. The remaining two Arteries was good and healthy.
I already had been diagnosed with another blood vessel being partially blocked. It provides blood flow to my brain stem. It is also being treated with medication. The diagnosis from this Neurosurgeon was that I had not had a stroke, but my brain vessels were likely convulsing and causing the stroke and brain seizure symptoms. The miracle continues to be revealed. I awoke right before the angiogram with very little symptoms. By the time this procedure was finished I had no symptoms. And they said I could go home. How many people do you know that had stroke and brain seizure symptoms and was flown the night before to a Stroke Center and walked out the next day!
I shared all of this because of mine and Janis's gratitude to the many people who prayed and encouraged us! We love you and thank you for your love! Jesus, the Great Physician healed me and continues to Heal. This process of healing began even before this experience. A dear friend sent Janis and me to the healing room of Bethel Church in Redding, California. We were blitzed by Holy Spirit with encouragement and words of healing. We also received the assurance that We still had much to do in The Kingdom of God! We are headed into our future part of Papa's destiny in Jesus! Again, thank you for your part in our journey. Jesus did it again!
