When I think of Jesus

Here it is Good Friday morning, and I'm so thankful for Jesus, and how He gave His life for me on an old rugged cross. There are no words to describe how grateful I am for all the mercy He has shown to me, the grace He has given to me, the favor He's bestowed on me, and the prayers He's answered when I was so undeserving, and unworthy of His blessings. I'm very jealous over my Saviour. When His Name is praised and glorified, I am filled with joy and rejoicing. When His Word is magnified, I feel my soul filling up with His goodness and love, and my life taking on new order. When His Presence is sought after and honored, I want to be in that sweet and holy atmosphere.

When I think of the Cross, and the price that Jesus paid and the sacrifice He made, I cannot find one other name proclaimed among men, no matter how lofty their philosophy, impressive their mysticism or enamored their followers that is even worthy of mention. Compared to Jesus--- what He said (Peter said, "To whom shall we go, Lord, thou hast the words of eternal life, John 6:68), what He did to heal people, and deliver them from demons, and even raised some from the dead, and how He lived His life pure and holy, harmless and undefiled, and then how He died between two thieves so He could pay the penalty for our sins, and then be gloriously raised from the dead on the third day, I am reminded of the songs of praises of the Israelites when God had delivered them from the Egyptians:

11Who is like unto thee, O LORD, among the gods? who is like thee, glorious in holiness, fearful in praises, doing wonders? Exodus 15:14.

There is no one like the Lord. There is no one like Jesus. There is no god who can even remotely compare to Him.  Wonderful Counselor, Prince of Peace, Mighty God, Everlasting Father,   Lily of the Valley. Bright and Morning Star. Fairest of ten thousand to my soul!! He is the Alpha and Omega, the Beginning and the End.  Faithful and True.  Clothed with a  vesture dipped in blood, and His Name is called the Word of God.

JESUS:

I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:   26And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die.  John 11: 25 and 26.

All glory to our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ on this Easter Weekend!!!
