Just a thought for the day……

What if the Holy Spirit began to invade our meeting places just like he did in the book of Acts?

 “As Paul and Barnabas left the synagogue that day, the people begged them to speak about these things again the next week.  Many Jews and devout converts to Judaism followed Paul and Barnabas, and the two men urged them to continue to rely on the grace of God.  The following week almost the entire city turned out to hear them preach the word of the Lord.”  Acts 13:42-49 NLT

“The same thing happened in Iconium. Paul and Barnabas went to the Jewish synagogue and preached with such power that a great number of both Jews and Greeks became believers.”  Acts 14:1 NLT

What if the power of God feel so strong on our church meetings that the church building could not contain those that were being saved and we had to begin meeting in the streets, people’s homes or wherever we could find a place?

PRAYER
Prepare our hearts with your hunger to walk in the ancient pathways you have prepared from the foundations of the world in this day and in this time.  Teach us your ways for this day, O Lord and empower us to walk in your joy no matter what we see around us.  Lord, grant us this boldness in preaching your word and fill us with your joy, which is our strength. 

“But I will send you the Advocate—the Spirit of truth. He will come to you from the Father and will testify all about me.  And you must also testify about me because you have been with me from the beginning of my ministry. 
 “I have told you these things so that you won’t abandon your faith.  For you will be expelled from the synagogues, and the time is coming when those who kill you will think they are doing a holy service for God.”  15:26, 16:1-2 NLT

“And now, O Lord, hear their threats, and give us, your servants, great boldness in preaching your word.  Stretch out your hand with healing power; may miraculous signs and wonders be done through the name of your holy servant Jesus.”  Acts 4:29-30 NLT
