The eye of the Lord & the lion's roar

Sharing something from the last 2 nights
During the last week, I have suddenly woke up and immediaely heard the Lord speak. Each time it was different. Each time I thought it was morning, only to find out it was in the middle of the night. (which is signifigant)

The first time I heard "THE EYE... OF THE LORD"   Upon praying about this, I sensed it was about his all seeing eye. (Like the eye of the Tiger, so to speak) Aware of everything, missing nothing. Nothing escapes His eye.

The second time, a few days later I suddenly woke and heard, I AM TIRED OF THE SICK ROARINGS OF MY PEOPLE.

This one didn't make alot of sense to me, so I went back to sleep. I searched the scripture and found:   According to the Bible, a lion roars when it has prey. The question is asked in Amos 3:4, "Will a lion roar in the forest, when he hath no prey?" The context of the verse is that, no, he will not. The lions roar brings fear to the lions prey, thus Amos 3:8 says, "The lion hath roared, who will not fear?" The roaring of the lion when he has prey causes fear in the victim and this fear makes escaping harder for the victim and thus aids the lion in capturing his food. "Their roaring shall be like a lion, they shall roar like young lions: yea, they shall roar, and lay hold of the prey, and shall carry it away safe, and none shall deliver it" Isa 5:29 I can only conclude exactly what I heard the Lord say. He is tired of our sick roars. Meaning we need to displace things in our lives, and be filled and consumed with His Presence, where our roar will be that of His. Our roar is sickly and doesn't much scare our prey. (The enemy,,,Satan)  Then when we roar.....the enemy will not escape, will be caught, and devoured by God, and ended forever in our lives.

  • I have been arrested by the infinite implications of the "eye" of the Lord as well. I love the admonition about our "sickly" roar. May we rise up with the faith of Christ in us to "roar" in accordance with His mighty power! Thank you dear sister, Ron Ross
