Shall we continue in sin?

What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein? (Rom 6:1-2)

Every nation and generation in history has had its own unique sin that deceived multitudes and has defined them as a nation, in the Middle East, the Far East and Asia its false religion, idol and animal worship and as we all have seen many of these religions have brought about persecution, hatred and even the death of those that have refused to believe in them and have chosen to follow after Christ. In this generation, in our own country, the greatest deception is homosexuality being a lifestyle acceptable to God, which has been declared by God as an abomination and sin, not just in the Old Testament but is confirmed again in the New Testament by the Apostle Paul.

Many today say that Paul was just showing his predigest against homosexuals but this is not so, as Paul was appointed by Jesus to preach to the gentile race of people and was directed and taught by the Holy Spirit. The gentile race is simply all who are not of the house of Israel. We must remember that even though many of the books written in the Bible state the names of the disciples, Matthew, Mark, Luke John, James, Paul, etc.; the words that are written there came not from these men but from the inspiration from God.

Jesus even stated that He came not to destroy the Law but to fulfill it, that not one item of the Law would pass away until all be fulfilled. Homosexuality is not only stated in the law as sin but also stated as enormities of sin committed by the people throughout the Bible. Some are listed here; Gen.19:4-5; Jdg.19:22; 1Ki.14:24, 1Ki.15:12, 1Ki.22:46; 2Ki.23:7.

Sin is; The voluntary departure of a moral agent from a known rule of rectitude or duty, prescribed by God; any voluntary transgression of the divine law, or violation of a divine command; a wicked act; iniquity, a deterioration of the moral character of man.(Webster.)

Grace is; Favorable influence of God; divine influence or the influence of the spirit, in renewing the heart and restraining from sin. (Webster.)

Each and every sin has its own spirit that deceives the man into believing that what is done is natural and will be accepted by others, in a way this is true as stated here; “Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.”(Rom 1:32) Men take more pleasure in their sin if they have found others that are willing partakers of that same sin. But those that will not accept, nor run riot with them or their choices are thought of as strange or predigest against them.

The deterioration of the moral character of man has become self-evident in these end days, as it was evident in the time of Noah and Sodom and Gomorrah. Morality has been redefined by many in our society as the acceptance of any lifestyle that pleases the flesh and not the spirit, the acceptance of any religion, law or statute that allows any unrighteous acts, for many refuse to believe in a higher power that will judge all acts of man.

Each and every sin has an evil spirit behind it, whether it is gluttony, murder, adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings add these and others and you have an evil spirit named Legion.

Even some ministers call evil, good, deceiving themselves and those that worship with them. This is fulfillment of Biblical prophecy of the end days where there will be a great falling away. They have removed or do not speak of the sin that God has called an abomination, calling themselves as gay friendly Christians and churches to increase their congregation; they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.

They cater to the flesh and not to the spirit. The souls of these people are at stake, for without repentance no man shall be saved. What did Paul state of sin; “Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?”

We must die out to the sin that so easily besets us, letting the old man die within us and taking up the new man that has been freed from sin. How shall a man be saved if the preacher doesn’t preach on what sin is, how can a man repent if he doesn’t know what is acceptable and unacceptable to God, for by ignoring sin which brings forth death to the body and soul, many have made Christ and His sacrifice of none effect. How can a man preach if the Lord never called Him?

Jesus stated that He came to save the lost House of Israel, to seek and save those that are lost, for without salvation they would die in their sin. What then was He speaking of when He said; lost? Alienated, lost to all sense of honor or righteousness, being separated from God because of trespasses and unrighteousness.

We must all remember that anything or anyone that we put in front of God becomes our god and thereby becomes our religion. If we deny God and state that there is no god, then atheism becomes our religion based upon that faith, if we preach that homosexuality is acceptable and we deny Gods word on the matter then it becomes our religion, the Bible speaks of the synagogue of Satan, where people gather in false beliefs, and as Satan, became opposers of the true word. It is not the person that we are fighting against but it is the spirit of sin that inhabits them, for we were all at one time lost and alienated from God, we were all sinners in need of repentance, needing a Saviour. We must continue to warn all who transgress against Gods word that sin is a cancer and will destroy both body and soul.
