"So from now on we regard no one from a worldly point of view. Though we once regarded Christ in this way, we do so no longer. Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come! All this is from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: That God was reconciling the world to Himself in Christ, not counting men's sins against them.
And He has committed to us the message of reconciliation. We are therefore Christ's ambassadors, as though God were making His appeal through us. We implore you on Christ's behalf: Be reconciled to God. God made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God." 2 Cor. 5:16-21 NIV.
You could spend the remainder of your life trying to wrap your heart and mind around these glorious truths! Don't try! Just let Him be who He already is in and through you today.
The result-every moment: His righteousness as opposed to self-righteousness, the old-history gone; cast into the sea of forgetfulness, a heavenly point of view and perspective on all you see and don't see today, being a human being instead of working to become a human doing... rest, shalom, and quiet-instead of stressors you cannot change. You can deduce the rest...reconciliation, and purpose in being an ambassador of Christ! Jesus is the true reformer!
As we embrace by faith the true re-former we will be formed into all He is. And He is always, at all times, a powerful reformer. Everything around you will be influenced by him. Change and transition will occur and it won't look anything like what your wildest dreams are.
‘Eye hasn’t seen, ear hasn’t heard, neither has it entered into the heart of man all the God has prepared for those who love him!’ Your life will become Jesus and you in a partnership of faith on His mission. Father’s business is His mission statement and it will become yours. How?
There is nothing more re-formative than the favor Jesus enjoys with his Father. Father is joyfully obligated to His Son to give you elevated status “because” you are in Christ. This favor allows you to discover the real you as God sees you—giving way to more favor.
Remember. Jesus living in you has the full favor of God in Himself. His presence in you releases that same abundance of favor, trust and confidence!” Ask the beautiful Holy Spirit, your Helper, to open the eyes of your heart to this favor. As we practice seeing ourselves, in Jesus, as the favored. It’s liberating. Purposeful. Destined. Hopeful. Loved. Peaceful. Joyful. Missional. All around us become influenced by the glorious effects of our favor.
You are beloved. You belong to Him, now become captivated by Him. That’s the journey of growing in favor. To practice adoration, you must first know that you are adored. To practice favor, you must know that you are favored. From this vantage point of adoration and favor you have the confidence to become a true reformer.
