“Glory and strength to Christ, who loves us, who blood-washed our sins from our lives, Who made us a Kingdom, Priests for His Father, forever—and yes, he’s on the way! The second law of aerodynamics is thrust determines lift. Where do you go when hope runs out? I have been on the razor sharp edge of hopelessness before. I hope you never have or will get to that lonely and scary place. Where do you go when you are empty? Thrust determines lift: is there anyone who has the thrust and power to truly lift us out of the miry clay and set us on the rock—a secure place?
The scripture referenced above makes it clear and evident that Jesus Christ provides the lift out of whatever plagues our lives. He blood-washed all sin, He became the mark when our lives missed the mark, He made a way, when there seemed to be no way, He reconciled us to His Father and made us a Kingdom, Priests for His Father and most critical to hope; He’s on the way, riding the clouds and Sovereign—Strong!
There is nothing but thrust and lift; as we, by faith, align our lives by the compass of faith in Christ alone! “Every time we think of you, we thank God for you. Day and night you’re in our prayers as we call to mind your work of faith, your labor of love, and you’re patience of hope in following our Master, Jesus Christ, before God OUR FATHER. It is clear to us, friends, that God not only loves you very much but also has put his hand on you for something special.” 1 Thess. 1: 2-3a., emphasis added.
Can you search the new heart Jesus gave you, where Holy Spirit lives and feel Papa’s hand on your life? If not; ask Him to reveal himself and his special plan for your life? Then immerse yourself into Jesus and your identity in Him!
The devil wants you to believe that he can steal your IDENTITY. He cannot! The truth is, “We’ll be walking on air! And then there will be one huge family reunion with the Master. So reassure one another with these words.” 1 Thess. 4: 17b-18, The Message, emphasis added. Your true identity is in Christ for all eternity! “Your life is hidden with Christ, in God.”
Also the truth is: “at times we doubt his grace, when grace is what we need. So ask him to take your heart captive, to wrap you in mercy, and bind you to forgiveness, where you’re eternally safe.” Adapted from “Take my Heart Captive” by Gwen Smith. The goal in His Thrust Determining Lift is for us to get to a place of faith, where we simply rest and trust his love for us!
The third law of aerodynamics is: minimize the drag factors. We will spend the rest of our lives letting go of the ‘drag factors’ and grasping Papa’s hand. His Spirit, in his still small voice, will whisper what to do with the ‘drag factors’ as He reveals them one by one. Remember, the world will be yelling with excessive life-noise. The fear mongers will be shouting how hopeless things are! And Jesus will be whispering Papa’s plan into your heart. Which do you choose to listen to?
“From the very first day, we were there, taking it all in—we heard it with our own ears, verified it with our own hands. The Word of Life appeared right before our eyes; we saw it happen! And now we’re telling you in most sober prose that what we witnessed was, incredibly this: the infinite Life of God himself took shape before us.

This communion, this fellowship is the ultimate experience; not what the world tries to shove down our throats.
We don’t have to invent fellowship; we are invited into the fellowship of the Father and the Son! We thought we had to invite Jesus into our lives and invite the Spirit into our life experiences! Meanwhile we are invited into the eternal fellowship of the Father and the Son! The great awakening: "My son you have always been with me and all that I have is yours!"
Enter into the thrust of this fellowship, no matter the deficiencies of your past. And let go of the drag factors, don’t let them weigh you down and keep you from soaring on the wings of eagles in Him! “I gave up all the inferior stuff so I could know Christ personally, experience his resurrection power, and be a partner in his sufferings, and go all the way with him to death itself...I’ve got my eye on the goal, where God is beckoning us onward—to Jesus. I’m off and running, and I’m not turning back. So let’s keep focused on that goal, those of us who want everything God has for us.” Phil.3:10&15, The Message, emphasis added. If this becomes your mantra, you will take off and soar for all eternity!
