Nurtured by Redemption

“So Christ has now become the High Priest over all the good things that have come. He has entered the greater, more perfect Tabernacle in heaven, which was not made by human hands and is not part of this created world. With his own blood-not the blood of goats and calves-he entered the Most Holy Place once for all time and secured our redemption forever. Hebrews 9:11-12, NLT, emphases mine.

Redemption means to buy back; to save by payment of a ransom; and to free from the consequences of sin. Our redemption is totally, unequivocally, complete and finished forever! We who place our faith into The High priest (Jesus Christ) are redeemed; now.

There is nothing you or I can do or perform to merit this redemption. It is totally secured. He secured our redemption forever. His redemption is a completed buy-back through the payment of his blood. Life for you and me today and every day is only found in his blood. Scripture declares that the life is in the blood.

Because of this secured payment, not our performance, we are now freed of the consequences of sin. And what are some of those consequences we know longer fear or face? Death, eternal separation from God, hopelessness, and a power source (Jesus) over the effects of sin are just a few. Be nurtured this day while reflecting on and offering praise for the multitudinous aspects of your redemption.
