In chapter 8, Paul gives us revelation about what being in Christ and in the spirit actually means. We begin this teaching with a question; how can we experience real spirituality? It is by leaving law and walking in spirit. By being in Christ through faith in Him, we are also in spirit. If we are in spirit, we can walk according to it and be led by it. If we are led by the spirit then we are the sons of God. If we are the sons of God then we are the heirs of God and all that God owns has been given to us. It is in believing that, in claiming the greatest personal identity, Christ is made real in us. The change within produces a change in actions and the result is us living in the power of the spirit. But how can we be assured the spirit is in us? What does it look like to be a son of God? Alan Smith explores those questions and more in this teaching.
