Chapter 6 of Romans is written to help us realize what the cross of Christ brought to mankind. Paul is dealing with the question surrounding the sins of believers. If being born again gives us a changed life and we now have died to sin, how can we live in it any longer? Just because we are now Christians it does not mean we are now incapable of sinning. What it means is we now are empowered with the choice not to. As believers, we have been baptized in Christ and pulled out of Adam. We inherited the power to sin and death from Adam but we also inherited the power to not sin and eternal life from Jesus Christ. We no longer have to obey sin now that we have Christ living within our spirits. In this teaching, Alan Smith takes us on a journey uncovering what it means on a spiritual level for our lives to have Christ dwelling in us and showing what it looks like to die to sin.
