Then there is the fact that the good folks of Christendom are being used by people with an anti-Kingdom agenda by pretending to support their brand of social conservatism. They don't want to make abortion illegal. They want to keep it an issue that herds people to the voting booth with dependable GOP votes.
If helping the poor through social policy is impractical and thereby not an issue with Christian voters then the practicality of the drug war and banning all abortion should be weighed in the same scale. How well did that prohibition thing work out?
Then there is the spirit that drives the whole mess..........imposition of Kingdom principles through legislation? Sounds more like radical Islam than New Testament Christianity.
