We look to God when our world is being shaken, only to find that it is God that is doing the shaking.
Luke 21:25-28a There will be signs in the sun, moon, and stars, and on earth dismay among nations, in perplexity at the roaring of the seas and waves, men fainting from fear and the expectation of the things which are coming upon the world; for the powers of the heavens will be shaken.
This is above the ordinary working of natural causes. The effect of this shall be universal confusion and consternation upon the earth.
But the verse goes on to say: When we see these things, and even at the beginning, we are told to "look up" The word UP (G3521) means rise, be elated, and lifted up. This is because our redemption (G629) ransom in full, draweth nigh.
The above word used elated means very happy, jubilant, in high spirits. Adding some more syn. Delighted, Intoxicated, Overjoyed, Blissful, Ecstatic.
Our response is different from those that are not looking for His appearing. Our response to the shaking is like a thermometer which shows our level of faith, love, and surrender to our Lord.
