Greatness in the Kingdom of God is equated with obedience to the Scriptures.
Living ones' life in alignment with the Word of God is fundamental to the righteousness of the Kingdom. It is the Way to greatness in the Lord.
When we are born-again it is by the Word, through the power of the Holy Spirit. The Word of God is our DNA.
1Pe 1:23 Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.
This was prophesied by Ezekiel.
Eze 36:26 A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.
The law of God is written on our hearts in the new birth.
Jer 31:33 But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.
An often overlooked; although primary purpose for the gift of the indwelling Spirit of God in the believers life, is for the enabling of the Holy Ghost unto obedience to the Scriptures.
Eze 36:27 And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them.
Let us draw upon our indwelling Friend: God the Holy Ghost, & commit ourselves afresh to loving obedience to the Living Word of God.
Mat 5:19 Whoever then breaks or does away with or relaxes one of the least [important] of these commandments and teaches men so shall be called least [important] in the kingdom of heaven, but he who practices them and teaches others to do so shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. Selah.
