God is wholly other-than. He is uniquely transcendent. God is not only above, beyond, and separate from all that is bad, evil, or sinful, He is also so far above and beyond all that is good, excellent, and perfect in all of creation, that there are no comparatives to Him!
There are vast differences in the created order of the universe. We have the common and the uncommon, the base and the noble, the plain and the beautiful, the micro and the macro, etc. As vast as these differences may be, they are infinitesimal when each is considered in the Light of the Divine attributes and Being of God.
Compared to the greatest of beauties, the exceedingly majestic, and the simplest purity all are but faint shadows of His attributes, proving to us the eternal exquisite existence of Almighty God! And yet, in the mystery of all mysteries, He created Adam and Eve as the highest expression of His Glory. He is in all His Ways: wholly Holy!
Psa 8:3 When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained;
4 What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him?
5 (Amp) Yet You have made him but a little lower than God [or heavenly beings], and You have crowned him with glory and honor.
Let us consider a scenario of the Trinity in Eternity. Before the Creation of the universe began God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit were in the throne room as One. As Love, they decided to act upon their eternal desire to extend their family through the creation of mankind. Now, angels had already been created, but the angels were incapable of fulfilling God’s longing for an extended family, as they had been created to be His servants rather than His sons. God created mankind in His image, in His likeness, and with His nature and attributes so that mankind could fully receive the Love of God and then commune with Him on His level as His family!
1 Jn 4:8 He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.
God’s Love, by its very nature demands that it be shared; and that it be given to others. Through the creation and inclusion of mankind into the family of God, the Love of God which had previously been shared and partaken of only within the confines of the Godhead, could now be given, received, and shared with an ever-expanding family. Love’s demand for children with whom God could commune was the motivation for creation. God created the Heavens and the Earth as a home, school, and playground for His expanding family!
This Holy Trinity of Love, dwelling in Eternity and knowing all things that would come as time would unfold, saw the temptation and fall of mankind through them choosing sin. Before the foundation of the world, the Three-in-One covenanted together to provide for their restoration through the Blood of the Lamb. The Father so loved the world yet to be created, that He gave His Living Word through His Spirit, that the world might be saved. This is the Love of God!
