Christ’s love makes the church whole. His words evoke her beauty. Everything he does and says is designed to bring the best out of her, dressing her in dazzling white silk, radiant with holiness.” Ephesians 5:27(Msg)I wouldn't characterize the “church” as whole. Would you? Maybe all of our church growth strategies are missing the mark. Could it also be that prioritizing doctrinal “purity or sameness” over and above seeking first the love unique to the Kingdom of God is another failed strategy?The world is desperate for what the Body of Christ brings to the table. Paul wrote in The Book of Romans, “all of creation is groaning for the manifestation of the people of God.” Unless and until we (sons and daughters of God) simply embrace unconditional love as the glue of our unity we will likely continue to taint our witness.Christ’s love must be the only strategy we experience and share with the world. His love makes us whole! His love makes us one! His love makes us appealing to the world! And its His love that brings us to wholeness. His love trumps any and everything! Ron Ross
