Okay, I have an exercise for you.
1. Stand up, blow a great big kiss toward heaven and say, “Jesus, I love you.”
2. Now, stop and meditate for a moment about how much this moves His heart. He is thrilled with your display of affection toward him because you are the apple of his eye. You are the very person he gave his life for and you are expressing your love toward Him and He is excited! Think about how much your display of love has moved His heart in this one brief moment.
If you are having a difficult time believing this, remember when your child or grandchild blew you a kiss and said, “I love you.” Did that thrill your heart? Who do you think gives this ability to convey and receive emotion? Realize the emotions you feel are but a hint of what God feels toward you. Seriously, take time to meditate on this.
