Communion with God

Communion with God

In His Love God created mankind in His image, in His likeness, with His nature and attributes, so that man could freely receive God’s Love and commune with Him on His level. Only a being in God’s class would be capable of receiving His Love and then in response, choose to minister that same Divine Love back to God Himself! Just as young children are acutely aware of their own needs and desires, and are generally oblivious to the needs of their parents, so the vast majority of the children of God rarely consider His needs! It is quite the threshold toward adulthood when a maturing child recognizes, and then begins to respond to the needs and longings of the hearts of their parents. An entirely new depth and richness of relationship unfolds as the family matures in their communion with one another. Even so, it is the same with our Heavenly Father!

My friend, Omnipotence has chosen to make Himself vulnerable to human beings!

The Father, Son, and Holy Ghost long for relationship with the human race. God is hungry. God is thirsty for true Holy Communion with each and every person on the planet! The awakening of the human soul to this one Truth, has initiated the birth-pangs of the spiritual giants and benefactors of humanity, who have emerged throughout history. Its time has come due again. It is our time!

The omnipotent Creator and King of the Universe imparted to Adam and Eve the ability, and the authority, to have dominion in the Earth that they might share with God in establishing and overseeing the Kingdom of God on Earth. Consistent fellowship and communication between the Father and His children were essential to insure the reestablishment of Godly order in the Earth. Through this common-union or “communion”, God would be able to impart His Divine  and wisdom to mankind, thus enabling them to make vital decisions that were for the highest and the best moral good for all concerned.

Communion with God the Father as His Maturing Sons

In the midst of the Garden of Eden, the Father had placed the Tree of Life, thus insuring that He and His children would be able to enjoy eternal fellowship together. Though Adam and Eve sinned and fell short of the glory of union with God, His plan has been redeemed through Christ the Lamb! We can know God as our Heavenly Father. Abba: Daddy God!

He will Father, us maturing us through time, so that we might stand amidst the council of the Godhead as fellows of Christ and co-heirs of the Kingdom. We are called to share in His inheritance with Him as mature sons and daughters of the Father! And, as God is both our Father and the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, He is preparing and maturing us in mercy, tenderness, wisdom, and patience to be given to His Beloved Son as the reward of His suffering: the Bride of Christ!

Rom 8:15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.

1 Cor 1:9 God is faithful, by Whom ye were called unto the fellowship of His Son Jesus Christ our Lord.

Matt 22:2 The Kingdom of Heaven is like unto a certain King, which made a marriage for His Son…

Matt 22:9 Go ye therefore into the highways, and as many as ye shall find, bid to the marriage.

Communion with Jesus as our future Bridegroom

Hidden in symbolism in the Garden of Eden, the great mystery of Christ and the Church is portrayed through the relationship of Adam and Eve. The first Eve was inside of the first Adam in the day that he was created. She was brought forth by the Father from Adam’s side, in His time. This foreshadowed the last Adam and Eve, Christ and His betrothed Church, who was brought forth and formed by the Father from the side of the slain Lamb through the Cross of Jesus Christ! Just as we are matured over time through the ministry of the Father, we are also nurtured by the Holy Spirit, and cherished as betrothed to our Lord Christ Jesus from the moment of our new birth! Jesus woos us and matures us into holy relationship with Him as His beloved Bride; for we are destined to reign with Him throughout Eternity!

2 Cor 11:2 For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ.

 Eph 5:25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;

26 That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,

27 That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.

28 So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that Loveth his wife loveth himself.

29 For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church:

Eph 5:32 This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church.

Communion with the Holy Spirit as our Helper

As the Father and the Son both long for true Holy Communion with us the Holy Spirit also yearns for our companionship. The Spirit of Prophecy is the testimony of Jesus. The Holy Spirit loves and lives to reveal the heart and the Person of Living Truth: the Lord Jesus Christ. One day I heard the Spirit of Prophecy say, “You will have Holy intimacy with Me when you are wholly-into-Me; see!”

Joh 16:13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.

14 He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you.

Consider the heart of the Trinity of Love. The Father so loved us that He gave His only begotten Son as our Kinsman Redeemer. The Son came to show us the Father and then died as our sacrificial, substitutional Lamb. He was buried, descended into hell, raised the third day, glorified, ascended, and then seated upon the Throne. As the Lord Jesus Christ, He received the Abrahamic promise of the Father, and then poured out the gift of the Holy Ghost for us on the Day of Pentecost. Now, to those who receive the Holy Spirit, the Holy Spirit reveals the Son, Who then brings us to the Father. Wholly, Holy, Common-union! Amazing Grace!
