A Reason to Believe.

To believe;
To credit upon the authority or testimony of another; to be persuaded of the truth of something upon the declaration of another, or upon evidence furnished by reasons, arguments, and deductions of the mind, or by other circumstances, than personal knowledge.

We believe because we are persuaded that the words of the Bible are true. We believe that Jesus is the Son of God because the Holy Spirit of the Lord has spoken to us in our hearts and we answered.                            We believe because we are furnished reasons beyond all doubt that salvation only comes threw the faith and belief that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.                                                                                              We believe because the world has hated us as they hated the Son, this all spoken of in prophecy.                                                                                    We believe by free will, not because we are threatened or persecuted to believe.                                                                                                      We believe because there is no other than Jesus that would have suffered such a reproach, pain, suffering and ridicule to save men of whom He did not know.

Why are the Christians hated and feared so, is it because we cannot be persuaded to follow after false gods and false religions, or is it because this world knows that we speak the truth about the Lord and His Son? Are Christians imprisoned, murdered and persecuted for no other reason other than fear of hearing the truth of salvation and the punishment for unrighteousness?
Upon the declaration of The Lord God Almighty, that Jesus was sent to this world to seek out and save those that are lost, we believe.

“Burning lips and a wicked heart are like a potsherd covered with silver  dross.”                                                                                                     False testimony is like a sliver of a broken pot covered by silver or gold, it looks nice to the eyes and pleases the ears but is full of lies and deceit. Fine flowing robes, great cathedrals covered with the granite and marble of this life are beautiful to the eyes but lack understanding of the true meaning of worship.

“He that hateth dissembleth with his lips, and layeth up deceit within him; When he speaketh fair, believe him not: for there are seven abominations in his heart.”
Men today use deceit and fancy words to bring in damnable heresies where sound doctrine belongs, putting a schism between the congregation of the believers.
And what are these seven abominations?
A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood,
An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief,
A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren.”

Because we believe in Jesus, we have overcome these seven abominations. We no longer seek out a name for ourselves, we no longer look toward our own needs, because we have been taught that it is the Lord that provides our daily needs, we believe that our illnesses, diseases and troubles are know by the Lord and He, and He alone, can provide for us. We have been made aware that everything that we see will at one time or another, one day or another, shall pass away. Our homes shall rot or burn, our material possessions shall rust and decay, and our very lives shall pass with age. We have been set free from fear, anxiety, confusion, doubt and indifference because we can now see the light and are no longer in darkness.

We are in the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect, we are covered by the blood of the Lamb, we are a people that were not a people unto the Lord, all because of the saving grace that God poured out to all men that would believe.

And of those that sow discord and devision among the congregation the Lord writes;
“Whose hatred is covered by deceit, his wickedness shall be shewed before the whole congregation.
Whoso diggeth a pit shall fall therein: and he that rolleth a stone, it will return upon him.
A lying tongue hateth those that are afflicted by it; and a flattering mouth worketh ruin.”
Mankind without the Lord are men most miserable.                                   Those that will not open their hearts to the truth will be absent from the Kingdom of Heaven. Their greatest punishment shall be the forever absents from the presence of God.

“And if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins.
Then they also which are fallen asleep in Christ are perished.
If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable.
But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept.
For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead.
For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.”

Jesus preformed many a miracle, not withstanding, even He stated, if you believe me not by faith, believe by the works that I have preformed.  Jesus was raised from the dead, and by faith, we shall also be raised.             We believe not because we have seen nor have we personal knowledge of His resurrection, but we believe because we know within our hearts that no other man could have done the things that Jesus did.                           We know that without the Father, Jesus could never have withstood all that He did upon the cross.                                                                            Even false religions declare that Jesus was a prophet from the Lord, but with this acknowledgment they have still refused to believe in His words. We know that historical records acknowledge that Jesus existed, and we know without any of these things that Jesus was, and still is, our Saviour.
