a letter for these times

If it matters I share this to contribute not to the rattling of rancor but to help gather us in one purpose.

It would be folly to say that the present condition of our country can rest only upon the shoulders of the present administration. It would be naive to think that any of the administrations of the past two if not three decades have not knowingly contributed if not willingly to the accumulation of our present condition. Equally it would be folly to absolve the general Christian population of the responsibility of our present condition in some part. Primarily because we have abdicated our responsibility to first pray according to the will of God, and then to act in the framework of godliness among our communities. We have eaten the bread of a divisive spirit and been characterized by our division because we have not taken the identity of Christ before our own culture or personal belief. Therefore we are now characterized by a public bitter display that gathers the waters of hate and churns them into racist candor. We fight battles that are diversions and have lost out persuasion. We rally around the false gods of personalities actually believing they can rescue us from the slippery slope we have fallen onto.

Today, we are on a precipice of a great divide my friends, it is time to stop and halt in our steps. We can either contribute to true righteousness by rediscovering the who are you of God and ask that we again be shown His ways or continue to march into the sea of a powerless gospel. And we cannot think that we can hurriedly walk in His ways. Our boast is and has been in our own strength and it must end. We must return to Christ while we can.

Come now let us not turn a deaf ear or harden our hearts further with religious garments.  We have a great responsibility to gather with only the voice of God, but do we know it and can we hear it? The world is waiting for a revealing of hope that is not in a institution or a earthly king. We have been given the opportunity to turn a key that will unlock a great display among men. But we cannot hold this key in our present condition or mindset.  I will bow my knee and not rise up until He says to.
