5778 Jewish New YearBy Joni AmesDear Friends,We go by the Gregorian calendar in America, but as Christians, we cannot ignore our Jewish heritage. Therefore I always like to research and talk about the new year on the Jewish calendar as well. So please understand that these words are also for our Gregorian year of 2018.On 8/27/17, the Lord gave me a word that I spoke at the IHOP in Clarksburg, WV.I saw that something big was going to happen after, and maybe due to the effects of the eclipse, which would bring unity in our nation. I saw that, by September, the Lord was going to change the climate in America through upcoming disasters. I saw that people would be working together to help one another, ignoring their political and social backgrounds.The Lord spoke to me that weather patterns and earthquakes were going to be stirred up. The moon has great effect on things like that – it even controls the tides. He showed me that, possibly due to the eclipse, the Atlantic was churning and there would be at least three major hurricanes. One would greatly affect south Florida.In studying about the New Year we are entering into on the Jewish calendar, it coincided with what the Lord showed me.5778 On the Jewish CalendarWe're in the 5770's on Jewish calendar. The 70's portion is called ayin, which means: eye, to see, eyes open, awake, awakening. Therefore the world is in a time of great awakening.We see that happening everywhere, in every way. We are no longer believing everything we see or hear. We are awake and realize there is even fake news propaganda being put out. We are therefore researching truth for ourselves.In Revelation 4:1 the Lord says, “Come up here and I'll show you things.” It is time to see things from His point of view.We’ve been in a time of great warfare and battle. But I heard, “Time to battle through to breakthrough.” He's given us the power to move into victory. So let us not bow to the distractions and discouragement the enemy is trying to throw at us. Instead may we refuse that which has been trying to keep us from what God has for us. Let us say "no way" to the enemy and proclaim, No weapon formed will prosper! (Isaiah 54:17)5776 & 57775776 was ayin vav. It’s pictoral was that of a tent peg. It symbolized man, and was as a hook, peg, or pin. A beginning of divine connections that would fasten us to our purpose, call, and destiny.5777 was ayin zayin, which appeared as crowned tent peg and stood for crowned man & crowned sword of the spirit. It also symbolized the great battle, which we all have been in.57785778 is ayin chet. Chet is a yoke that connects vav & zayin. God has heard our hearts as we've been crying out for unity. We are entering into a time of divine connections and unification.His yokes are easy and His burdens are light. A yoke lifts the burden and helps to carry it.Chet is the letter of life and light symbolizes the doorway where the blood of the Lamb was daubed. (Exodus 12:7)Chet also symbolizes discipleship with the Lord, communion, i.e., common union, unity, and working together. We are being brought together as a nation in this time of distress and disaster.No one is asking someone who needs help if they are Democrat or Republican or paying attention to what color their skin is. Everyone is rising up in compassion to help those who have been afflicted.It is sad that it had to take disasters to bring our nation together, but it goes to show you what a great nation we really are. Our people are willing to put down their differences and take each other's hand in times of need.The Perfect StormThis has been a time of the perfect storm in our nation - naturally, spiritually, and politically.But God has His way in the whirlwind. (Nahum 1:3)I saw a twister on it's side, stirring up a lot of dirt, then God grabbed it by the tail and untwisted it.This will be a year when a lot of the lies the enemy has perpetrated will be disproven and fall to the ground.Meaning of 88 = new beginnings and a time of overflow and more than enough.I saw the 8 on its side, as a pair of glasses. I sensed it symbolized increased vision. Open your eyes up to the possibilities God has for you in this time period. Stop looking at the glass half empty and see it half full. Realize that you can achieve your potential and go for it!I also saw the 8 on its side as the symbol for infinity, standing for His infinite, everlasting love; His covenant, and fruit.This may seem as if a most impossible time for the promises to come to pass, yet they will. Why? So we will know it's not by our power or might but His, and He will get the glory.Our president says this isn't about politics, it's about God. So true.Time to look and hear through God's spiritual eyes and ears, not our own.Time to put the trumpet to our mouth and BE the trumpet and declare Jesus as Lord over our nation.Transition TimeThe eclipse that occurred stirred things up. But it is not a time to give up. It is a time of new beginnings and restoration. It is a time when we can see things restored to a greater degree than what we had before the enemy destroyed things.So set your sights on enduring to the end. Like Job, the latter half of your life shall be greater than the first. (Job 42:12) The best IS yet to come!One of most powerful things we can do in this time period is to pray in the spiritRomans 8:26-27 = verse 28. As we pray in the spirit, He will work all things together for our good.Do not back down. As we fix our eyes on Him, He will fix our situtations and perfect what concerns us.The transition from 5777 to 5778 will bring harvest for those who have planted and prepared.Storms SymbolicThe damage we have seen happen with the recent storms is a symbolic prophetic picture of the damage that has happened spiritually and to the hearts of the people in our nation because of the anger, bitterness, strife, and division that the enemy had stirred up. It is time call an end to all of that and step into a time of new beginnings in God's love and peace.Again, we see how our nation came together after the storms. That too is a prophetic picture. One of how God wants to restore our relationships with one another after the horrific political storm we have come through in this nation.The year 5778 will mark the 70th year since the rebirth of Israel (1948).Let this be a year of the rebirth of God's love and divine peace in America.In 2018 BC God made the first covenant with Abraham, 70 years after Abraham’s birth in 1948 BC. God is using this coincidence to remind us of His covenant and to bring restoration and rebirth to us.Let us also allow it to remind us of our covenant with one another in this nation - that we shall be one nation, under God, INDIVISIBLE.Love & blessings,Joni Ames
