Train up a child in the way he should go [and in keeping
with his individual gift or bent], and when he is old he will not depart from it.
This should be the guidepost for fathers as we see Sons and Daughters become Fathers and Mothers. We are not raising Sons to be sons but to be Fathers and Daughters to be Mothers. We must remember this. We are expecting that they will mature and be all that they are called to be. We are not trying to make Sons and Daughters into our mold but to see Jesus in them the way He has made them to be the express image of the Son in the likeness of who he has created them to be.
